In fact I would say leaving this in place could be considered not protecting there intellectually property value, Hello? Bueller? Just an example it will probably be all over the place till it settles down, do the math.īlizzard need to end this charade and lock down trading so this is not possible, or get rid of trading all together. The gold you will need to upgrade and respec is going to be sold on 3rd party sites by the billions. What if those carries are all for naught? And BiS rare that you can then slap an aspect on right away is something that is directly buyable. Still not the same as directly buying that item. If there’s a loophole that a company can take, then why wouldn’t they? You can instead… buy “gems”, which are essentially just an alternative form of gear, but is not technically “gear”. The devs stated you won’t be able to buy gear… and you can’t. In fact, Diablo Immortal essentially did what I’m describing. Most games don’t want to be considered P2W, because outside of whales it generally scares players off, therefore they will do anything they can to earn $$ whilst not technically being able to be called P2Wįor example, some people argue that things which simply speed up your gameplay are not P2W, but what is the limit to that? Or is there none? If it would take you literally 100 years to do X, or you can drop $1000 and do X immediately, is that P2W? Think about it like this: Whatever the actual definition is (and clearly, no one in this thread can agree on that), game companies will do their best to find a way around it.

I’m simply reading a definition I was given and acting accordingly. Though i guess its not clear for you, because XP boosts arent P2W, nor would the aura be one unless it can be used in PvP or another in-game competition with other players. Dont be fastidious, it should be clear what the definition means.
